Professor: Leadership in the 21st Century
Dr. Mario Barrett has over twenty-five years of progressive
leadership experience both on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as
well as across several industries in the private sector
including Fortune 100 companies.
Currently,
Mario is CEO of The Barrett Center for Leadership Development, LLC, a
global leadership and organizational development firm. In addition to
his professional work, Mario has authored several best-selling
leadership books: Leading from the Inside-Out… and Eleven
Leadership Practices that Will Change Your Life. He is also a
frequent speaker and blogger on leadership and organizational change
issues.
He is especially proud to be one of the founding
professors at the Jack Welch Management Institute. Mario has been
recognized with the Dr. S. Irving Strayer Award for Excellence and
Service (2016), the inaugural Jack Welch Management Institute
Outstanding Faculty Award (2014), and the inaugural Jack Welch
Management Institute Faculty Leadership Award (2016 and 2017). Mario
has a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden
University, an MS in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College
(with Distinction), BS in Organizational Management from Nyack College
(with Distinction), and is also a member of Delta Mu Delta (ACBSP’s
International Business Administration Honor Society).
