Richard Chua

An author, trainer, consultant, and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Sensei, Richard Chua enables companies to design, control and improve products, services, processes, and quality systems. With 30 years of experience, his successes have been published as cover stories in the American Society for Quality​'s Six Sigma Forum and Quality Progress magazines, co-authored with the CEO of Samsung and an operations executive at Genentech (Roche).

Before coming to JWMI, Richard served as Executive Vice President at the Juran Institute, where he co-authored the fifth edition of Juran’s Quality Planning and Analysis for Enterprise Quality. Prior to that, he managed Change Management Services at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Richard has recently authored many operational excellence courses on Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning.

Richard holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Operations Management) from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
