Is the TOEFL required by international applicants?
Non-native English speakers do not need to take the TOEFL to be considered for admission to the program. However, the program is taught in English, so an understanding and comprehension of the language is required.
Is GMAT or GRE required?
Yes, a satisfactory score on the GMAT or GRE is a requirement for admission. However, this requirement is automatically waived if you can demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional or business experience. At JWMI, we assess who is going to be successful by looking at many real-life indicators—including professional work history and undergraduate GPA.

What is the required satisfactory GMAT or GRE score required for admission?
A satisfactory grade is defined as a minimum acceptable cumulative score of 450 on the GMAT or a minimum acceptable cumulative score of 300 on the GRE.
What is required in the personal essay?
As part of your admissions requirements, all applicants must write a 400–600-word essay on one of three predetermined topics. The essay provides a great opportunity to demonstrate the strategic thinking necessary to maintaining success in our MBA program.
Do you accept transfer credits?
JWMI accepts transfer credits for up to four classes from other accredited educational institutions. Transfer class eligibility is based on curriculum subject matter and passing grades of B or better. Please speak with a member of the Advising Department to determine your eligibility.
Are there any allowances for students with a CFA, CPA or CMA?
Yes, incoming students who are Chartered Financial Analysts (CFAs), Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) might be eligible for transfer credit for the following JWMI courses: Economics (JW515), Financial Management I (JWI530), and Financial Management II (JWI531). To be considered for credit, students must obtain proof that they are current charter-holders in good standing. As stated above, JWMI will only accept credits for up to four classes
