Just because our MBA program is online, doesn’t mean our students don’t mix and mingle. JWMI hosts local networking events in select cities throughout the United States including Atlanta, New York, Charlotte, Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Companies pay Jack Welch hundreds of thousands of dollars to consult on business ideas. At JWMI, you get this opportunity as part of your education. Each quarter, students interact and learn directly from Jack Welch via virtual webinars. During each event, Jack answers student questions, provides career and business advice and offers his views on current business and international events.
Our Leadership Live webinar series is just another way JWMI brings our unique online MBA curriculum to life. This series provides real-world examples of how companies and professionals execute on the core principles that JWMI teaches within our online MBA curriculum. The Student & Alumni Advisory Board (SAAB) is a diverse and accomplished collective of current students appointed to represent the Jack Welch Management Institute community. Its mission is to provide student and alumni advocacy, foster community and support student success.
Board members serve as the voice of their peers, helping to improve the experience for all students and alumni. Serving on the Board also provides members with the opportunity for increased engagement with their cohort, students and alumni in different phases of their academic career, and with JWMI leadership and staff.
From a new student perspective, the SAAB reaches out to incoming students to ensure they are set up for success for class and to answer questions from a student perspective. They also host quarterly virtual networking calls that all students are invited to attend.
