PLEASE SHARE MORE ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBLITIES.:

As a Manager at the Centralized Support Desk at AT&T, I lead a team of 14 managers. My responsibilities include developing and preparing my team for the next step in their careers. I ensure that my team meets its overall daily and monthly expectations by providing coaching and guidance. I work alongside my team and the internal and external sites we support.

WHY WERE YOU LOOKING TO GET AN MBA?:

I wanted to earn my MBA as part of my educational journey. Having focused on my career for years, I knew the next step was to continue my education. Strayer provided me with that opportunity by offering online classes, enabling me to continue working full-time, caring for my family, and successfully achieving my degree goals.

WAS THERE A PARTICULAR PROFESSOR OR MEMBER OF THE STAFF THAT YOU FELT HELPED YOU TO EXCEL? PLEASE ELABORATE.:

Throughout my educational journey, I had the privilege of being taught by exceptional professors. One professor, in particular, Professor Edwab, stood out to me as I had the opportunity to have him as my instructor twice – both at the beginning and at the very end of my journey. Experiencing his guidance and support from start to finish made a profound and lasting impact on my life and overall experience.

Professor Edwab consistently demonstrated encouragement and inspiration, ensuring that each of us successfully crossed the finish line. His unwavering dedication to our growth and development created an uplifting and motivating learning environment. I am truly grateful for his guidance and influence, as he played a significant role in shaping my educational journey.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR MOST REWARDING EXPERIENCE IN THE PROGRAM?:

The most rewarding experience was finishing! This year I turn 40, and I have proven to myself and my kids that you’re never too old to achieve your goals. In life, I wanted to show my kids the value of education and where it will take them. By achieving another milestone, I believe they will see the benefits and opportunities it brings.

PLEASE SHARE ANY ADVICE FOR NEW STUDENTS EMBARKING ON THE MBA JOURNEY.:

My advice is never to give up. Do not take breaks! Take advantage of every program that JWMI has to offer to get you through each class. As a mother of 7 who works full time with a demanding job, you have the opportunity of a lifetime, and you can do it!!!
