Based on alumni evaluation data, the definitive online publication for business education news designates the Jack Welch Management Institute 1st overall professor quality, 2nd course relevancy and 3rd in career advising in the 2020 Best Online MBA Programs Ranking.
Washington, October 15, 2019 – Poets&Quants, “the definitive online publication for business education news,” named the Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) in its ranking of the top 35 online MBA programs for 2020. Among the online MBA subcategories appraised by alumni, the school ranked first in several faculty measurements, including “overall quality of professors”, “accessibility and quality of faculty” and “satisfaction with the opportunities to create connections with faculty”. Within the same survey, JWMI also ranked second in alumni’s ability to immediately apply what they learned in their job and third in evaluation of coaching and career support.
“We’re thrilled to be included in Poets&Quants’ rankings for the second year in a row alongside so many other highly-esteemed institutions,” said Jack Welch, Executive Chairman and Founder of JWMI. “Our goal is to provide our students with leadership and business skills that will accelerate their career success and create winning organizations. These rankings show our focus on student outcomes is working.”
Data for the third annual Poets&Quants ranking of online MBA programs from self-reported school data and almost 1,600 alumni survey responses between June and September of 2019. Poets&Quants based its rankings on three core dimensions of the programs, including: admissions standards, alumni assessment of their MBA experience, and the career outcomes of the graduates. The alumni survey also asked recent graduates’ impressions on a range of topics, such as whether the program fulfilled their expectations and whether they would recommend it to others.
Other schools’ online MBA programs included in the list were Indiana University (Kelley), University of Southern California (Marshall), Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and University of North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler).
Since becoming part of Strayer University in 2012, JWMI has grown rapidly and graduated over 1,700 students. Welch designed JWMI to provide students with opportunities to learn from business leaders and propel their careers forward.
The Jack Welch MBA has also been ranked as a top online MBA program by The Princeton Review and CEO Magazine. Serving as mentors, JWMI faculty brings decades of professional experience to the program from top companies including Merck and Co., Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Stanley, Black & Decker and more. JWMI currently enrolls a diverse population of approximately 2,100 students, representing 47 U.S. states and 67 countries.
